Globaltronics is the largest manufacturer for Electricity Meters (Devices and Systems) in Egypt, I'm the responsible about development of the operation system of prepaid meters with smart cards, the system briefly including modules for• Electronic payment.• Smart cards technology for payment and data exchange protocols.• Billing system.• Energy management.• Subscribers management.I'm leading a team of developers who locally constructed the system, and built a unified payment and operation system for the local governmental energy company over all the country, the system is running and operates more than 2Million subscriber all over the country.

In August 2007, I joined Globaltronics, a company for electronic meters manufactory as project manager for designing a new project for use smart cards in Pre-Paid electronic meters, and after few months, I joined the implementation team. I could release a project for pre-payment electricity meters, this national project is planned, designed and implemented completely with co-operation with ASC and Globaltronics, I defined and implemented the protocol of the Smart Card and the pre-payment business, card management system, global networking and card issuance.

I have been assigned as a senior technical consultant and chief technology officer Leading internal and external technology and strategy roadmap, engagement, innovation and integration efforts that touch Smart cards integration system. Developing of the protocol for contributing Smart Cards technology to the Egyptian electronic government program to facilitate security and reliability of the smart card as a proof media for the Egyptian CitizenIntegrating the Smart Cards International Protocols and standards including the European Master Visa EMV and the People Bank Of China PBOC to the local developed protocol for the Egyptian Government to have a combined payment citizen card aimed for local and international useManaged and contributed in the development process for the Egyptian program for integrating the BUTAGAS (compressed gas cylinders for home use) subsidy system for public Egyptian Citizens, this is one of the largest programs which used smart cards in the governmental public field, I was the chief technology officer for the project and the technical coordinator with the government.a- Design and Developing of the card application b- Design and implementing the security schemac- Design and implementing the communication and interfacing protocold- Managing the development of the POS (Point Of Sale ) device application with definition to its communication protocol with the backend communication server and transaction processing scheme

I joined SMART, a company dedicated to implement the Egyptian government project for family card, as a consultant for the technical manager. I could participate in managing the implementation of this large scale project which covers 11.5 million family all over Egypt, starting from releasing a smart card (ISO 7816 multi-application card) to each citizen, and manage the implementation of the POS business at the grocer unit, to the card management system, a complete personalization of the card is done inside the factory (ASC) including the cryptography and key management.I have introduced technical consultancy to the second organization which implemented part of this large project, so that they can integrate and achieve compatibility with the pre-implemented system by SMART.I could release a similar project for health care system as a small pilot to the government; this pilot is implemented in the Suez governorate, as a proof of concept, for the upcoming large scale health care project, which will be released in 2011.For ASC, i managed the industry of VISA EMV cards, we could define the new technology of using Smart cards in payment system, helped the banks to migrate to EMV cards, instead of classic magnetic stripe cards. With good relations with the EMV chip modules vendors over the entire world we could participate in sessions and conferences to discuss to banks why they should migrate to EMV

I have been assigned to BITEL, the Korean POS manufacturing company, I have helped them to establish a local research and development center, I helped them develop a base solid software infrastructure and libraries ready to be used and integrated to advanced electronic payment systems with flexibility to answer the most reliable and achievable standards in payment field

I have joined Advanced Smart Cards in March 2005, as a software engineer, I have developed the necessary software for the plant to use in production of the smart payphone cards, this included developing software for Muhlbauer smart cards personalization machine and external testing and simulation tools, I could implement and release pre-paid phone cards for Menatel, Ringo and Egyptian Telecom.In 2006, we starting a research project for producing SIM cards for telecom operators, I have attended an international courses about SIM cards functionality, structure, technology and personalization, and finally, I could prepare the plant to be able to start producing SIM cards in-house.
