Assistant Field Enginner
Current• Lead HVAC system troubleshooting and resolution, collaborating with HVAC vendor Sigma and internal engineers to ensure minimal downtime at customer locations.• Inspect and maintain subsystems, including lighting, gearbox, and battery systems, to ensure optimal functionality across the fleet.• Work closely with vendors (SAFT, Wabtec, Siemens Mobility, ABB, Quester Tangent, Luminator) to address and resolve system issues across various platforms.• Utilize subsystem software (ProDiag300, Siemens CABview, Moni32, etc.) for testing, analysis, inspection, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of HVAC and other related systems.• Lead commissioning and quality inspections for HVAC and subsystems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.• Manage and document troubleshooting activities, including the creation of Nonconformance Notifications (NNPs), Failure Notifications (FNs), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).• Conduct railcar inspections in collaboration with CTA personnel to verify quality before delivery.• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations, contributing to a safe work environment.• Coordinate with CTA personnel and external vendors to resolve HVAC-related concerns, optimizing railcar performance.Key Achievements:• Successfully led troubleshooting efforts that minimized operational downtime across multiple CTA7000 railcars.• Contributed to process improvements in system diagnostics, inspection, and repair protocols, enhancing overall system reliability.• Collaborated cross-functionally to support the resolution of complex system issues and streamline communication between vendors, engineers, and customers.
