Important publications were: Hand Book for the PIOs and DRROs, Bangladesh Report on Response and Recovery for 2012 and 2013, Emergency Preparedness Plan for Flood,2013, Emergency Preparedness Plan for cyclone 2013 and 2014, Cold Wave Response Plan 2013-14, HFA Progress Monitoring Reports, Report on Flood in Northern Districts 2014, Policy Guidelines for Early Recovery from Disasters, Government Policy Guidelines for delivering Humanitarian Aids, Harmonized Training Module on Disaster Management ( This module was developed for training of both Government and NGO officials) and many books on relevant areas. During this period many development projects were implemented, some of which were: Construction of 100 Multi-Storied Multipurpose Cyclone Shelters with facilities for women, adolescent girls and persons in disabilities, 4000 cyclone resilient houses (Brick-built) for the poor people in the coastal belt, 100 brick-built houses for poor people in tornado-hit areas of Brahmanbaria and more than 1500 small bridges and culverts. Extensive field visits were undertaken for supervision and monitoring field activities. Conducted Joint Needs Assessment after any disaster event, harmonized the relief operation and early recovery programs of the Government with INGOs/ NGOs initiatives in post disaster period, and conducted regular meetings of Humanitarian Task Team (HTT) under Disaster and Emergency Response of Local Consultative Group (LCG-DER) as its Chairman.
