CurrentContructive Approach to Passive and Active Hybrid Integrated EMI Filters for High-Frequency ConvertersAn alternative approach for integrating an active EMI filter with a passive EMI filter is a good idea to minimize the volume and weight of a power converter. This approach is particularly effective in reducing the size of common-mode (CM) chokes within the passive EMI filters, achieving a notable 55% reduction. The combination of these two types of filters is commonly referred to as a hybrid EMI filter. The studies show that the integrated active EMI-filter effectively supress conducted common-mode (CM) emissions by about 20 to 25 dB in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 1 MHz.The following tasks are being performed:• Development of the active filter according to the Voltage Sense Current Injection (VSCI) configuration• Investigation of the impedance stability analysis of active filters• Investigation of the active filter with a passive EMI filter• Investigation and optimization of the grid-side passive and active Hybrid Integrated EMI filter structure,• Investigation and optimization of the motor-side passive and active Hybrid Integrated EMI filter structure• Verification of the simulation results by experimental tests• EMI measurement with passive and active filters in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 30 MHz.
