Gained hands-on experience across the company's technical operations, including:- Worked closely with the manufacturing team to deepen my understanding of the steel production processes. Shadowed engineers to observe operations, identify areas for optimization, and apply my SOLIDWORKS skills to support design efforts.- Followed the full order cycle in-depth, from receiving customer orders to delivering the finished products. Spent significant time learning the company's custom COMMATE ERP system, which simulates real-world enterprise resource planning processes. Gained practical experience navigating the ERP system to manage inventory, production scheduling, materials procurement, and logistics - obtaining end-to-end visibility into the company's operations.- Briefly engaged with the Purchasing department to understand how they source raw materials and manage supplier relationships, further broadening my knowledge of the company's holistic operations.This transformative experience equipped me with valuable technical expertise, cross-functional understanding of steel manufacturing, and hands-on proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from the talented engineers and employees during this educational journey, which has significantly enhanced my readiness to contribute to the steel manufacturing sector.
