Emergency Medical Officer
CurrentKey Responsibilities Diagnosing sick and injured patients on their ailments based on their history, clinical assessment and investigations if required Carefully listening about detail medical history of a patient to ensure they have no allergies etc Examining patients physically and doing so taking cultural and social sensitivities into consideration Arranging appropriate treatments for patients on the basis of diagnosis Efficiently managing patients with mild to moderate acute physical injuries. Prescribing medical prescriptions to patients Updating and maintaining accurate patient records If necessary referring patients to hospitals or specialist clinics for further investigation Giving appropriate health education and advice to patients and carers' to enableself management Visiting indoor patients having medical problems regularly and on request Ensuring a safe work environment for the patients and staff Supervising other administrative and junior healthcare staff Planning staffing duties and rota's for junior medical staffs Attending emergency medical board meeting and weekly clinical meeting with consultants and other doctors in discussion about various diseases and topics Attending the fortnightly administrative council meeting for welfare of the hospital Ensuring co-ordination and delivery of all work activities within area of responsibility
