Throughout my childhood, my family frequently moved to different countries, and as a young boy, it was difficult to adapt to different cultures and environments. While everything around me was frequently changing, the one thing that held constant during my youth was my passion for Math and Robotics. At the age of seven, I was gifted a Lego Mindstorms kit for my birthday, and I built my very first robot. Through building the robot, I was introduced to simple programming for the first time and I found great joy in designing and programming. I did not know it at the time, but that Mindstorms robot sparked my curiosity for becoming an engineer. In high school, my passion for robotics carried on as I joined FIRST Robotics and my interest in engineering further solidified when I took an engineering design course in which I learned how to create 3-D design models in CATIA.As a Mechanical Engineering student at Penn State University, I have gotten the opportunity to learn more CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solid works as well as Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics which I have utilized and further refined through projects, research, and engineering organizations such as Unmanned Aerial Systems. I am also the Vice President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in which we host general body meetings and provide support for the Mechanical Engineering community on the University Park campus. Over this past summer, I interned as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer at EnerSys where I managed an independent project of streamlining the process of reporting Manufacturing Quality KPI metrics.My career goal as a mechanical engineer is to work at a company that matches my passion for designing and developing technology for a more sustainable future, so send me a DM if there’s any opportunity to add value!
