Offshore Project Manager

Current

Tehran, Iran

My long experience with reliability analysis of offshore structures and being involved in different phases of analysis and design along with our good collaboration in several papers and projects made me confident that I could have a good evaluation for my capabilities to conduct similar projects. My research projects are mainly devoted to the Reliability Analysis of offshore Structures, developing reduced-order and idealized hydrodynamic– structural models, stability design, which are all aligned with some parts of my projects. In June 2004, I started to work with Pars Oil and gas Company (POGC). The company is a division of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). In fact I was employed at NIOC. NIOC is in charge of all oil and gas related projects under supervision of Oil Ministry of Iran. Oil Ministry had decided to exploit the gas from Iran South Pars Gas filed via excavation of some wells in sea bed, transfer the gas to the shore and treat the gas in some gas refineries. Gas refineries must be constructed at the sea shore of Assalooyeh in south of Iran. Management and Supervision of this was the responsibility of POGC. POGC has three main departments, Engineering and Construction, Planning, Health/ Safety and Quality departments. Regarding to project requirements the project department must be conformed for each project.

Assistant Professor

International Institute Of Earthquake Engineering And Seismology

Tehran, Iran

Further information about my publications and recent academic projects can be found in my google scholar or research gate page. In this part, I explain the contents of my advanced course "Reliability of Structures" in International Institute of earthquake Engineering and Seismology. In the first part, the concept of uncertainty, relation between uncertainty and probabilistic theory and general information continuous and discrete distributions. Probabilistic models, for loading and strength of material, energy spectrum of wave, moment of distribution, the free surface distribution, concepts of mean wave height, significant wave height, Narrow and wide band spectrum, height and period distribution short term and long term distribution of wave height, the distribution of yield strength and rupture strength. The next step was introductory theory of reliability and its relation to probabilistic theory, the limit state function, conventional methods in reliability theory (transformation method, Monte Carlo method, and the reliability index in first order second moment method). The system reliability was introduced for series, parallel and combined systems. The structural reliability method, the upper and lower bound theory using Cornell, Ditlevsen and Vanmark theorem, Matrix formulation of reliability, determinate and indeterminate structures system reliability and branch and bound technique of Thoft-Christensen and Murotsu. In the next step, the application of reliability theory in standard collection, the relationship between first order reliability and safety factor, safety factors with using of reliability measure, safety factors in offshore structure and marine environment. Theory of combined loading, Ferry Borges-Castanheta, Turkstra rule and other models of load combination have been discussed in another session.

Assistant Professor

Islamic Free University, Science And Research Branch

Tehran, Iran

Jun 2005 - Aug 2017

Assistant Professor

Tehran, Iran

I graduated from Delft University of Technology in February 1997, and majored as a PhD of Offshore Reliability Engineering. About six month later I joined to Sharif University of Technology that is located in Tehran Capital of Iran. I worked there for 5 years. Here I'm going to describe my activities in Sharif University of Technology.During my five year activity in the School of Marine Engineering, I had twelve thesis including both bachelor and master student thesis proposal. The proposals for bachelor students were both naval architecture and structural aspects of ship and offshore projects. The titles of master's thesis were "Load transfer modeling and analysis between a jack-up platform and a fixed offshore platform" by Mr. Golzadeh, "The wave-structure interaction for dynamically sensitive structures" by Mr. Noorabadi, "A new spar buoy concept for application in Persian Gulf environment on the basis of dynamic operation" by Mr. Foroughi and finally "Probabilistic analysis of a fixed offshore platform" by Mr. Hellal Makouee. As a member of examination committee, I was joined in the board for both mechanical engineering and civil engineering faculties and a list of MSc and BSc theses are provided in attached CV.
