I am currently a fifth-year Civil Engineering student at the University of Manitoba. Arriving in Canada in 2018 as an international student, gaining admission to the Price Faculty of Engineering was particularly challenging due to the higher AGPA requirement for international students compared to the standard. Nevertheless, I successfully met this challenge and embarked on my journey to become an engineer. Throughout my academic journey, I have acquired extensive knowledge in both field and office-based civil engineering tasks. I completed two co-op work terms at Manitoba Hydro and the Government of Manitoba, where I gained invaluable insights into real-world projects. In my program, I have become proficient in various software applications such as SAP2000, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, QGIS, and ArcMap, which I have applied in various projects. Additionally, I have experience in surveying and asphalt paving inspection. Beyond my academic pursuits and engineering work, I also serve as a Customer Care Specialist at SkipTheDishes, where I have honed my communication and customer satisfaction skills. Meanwhile doing my bachelors, I managed to become a Permanent Resident in 2023.
