• Evaluated the framework of oil and gas subcontracting in Lebanon from a good-governance perspective. • Authored an extensive report that proposed specific revisions of the Off-Shore Petroleum Regulation and the Exploration and Production Agreement and presented the report’s recommendations to relevant stakeholders.• Trained 20+ participants from civil society organizations on a unified strategy to monitor the activities of government and oil and gas companies.

• Designed and taught a course on international investment law titled “International Investment law in a Post-Neoliberal Economic Order.”

• Conducted research on how NGOs are organized under Egyptian law, how they carry out their activities under current legal restrictions, and how they will be able to continue to function after decrees instituting severe criminal penalties for individuals involved in organizations that receive foreign funding.

• Drafted a training manual on the enforcement of human rights and humanitarian law by the civilian members of NARCF’s permanent peacekeeping mission.• Trained 60+ participants using academic sessions, simulations, and role-plays to develop the skillset needed to avoid, monitor, and remedy violations on the ground.
