I am currently a researcher at the Autonomous Systems and Robotics Research Unit (ASSRU) in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). My primary research focuses on applying machine learning, especially deep learning techniques, to improve manufacturing systems and processes. Specifically, I am investigating how deep neural networks can be leveraged for tasks like predictive maintenance, real-time process monitoring and control, and optimizing machining parameters for different metals and alloys at the microscale. Before joining IIUM, I worked for 3 years as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Southern University Bangladesh. There, I taught courses in control systems, differential and integral calculus, computer programming fundamentals, and numerical methods. I also supervised undergraduate capstone projects related to automation and robotics applications.I am excited to combine my background in manufacturing, control systems, and machine learning here at IIUM. I hope to develop intelligent manufacturing solutions that can handle real industry challenges related to machining novel materials, reducing waste, and improving productivity. My goal is to build integrated systems that learn from multi-sensor data to make automated, data-driven decisions.
