Worked as an Application Engineer Consultant to Raza International, serving various industries. Responsibilities included reviewing engineering/purchase specifications, reviewing bids, negotiating the price and recommending the products for purchase.

Special Projects Group Evaluated motor operated valves (MOVs) in accordance with NRC Generic Letter 89-10 for Commonwealth Edison's Dresden, Zion, Byron, Braidwood, LaSalle, and Quad Cities Plants. Performed thermal overload heater sizing calculations as per IEEE Std. 741, Appendix B, and voltage drop calculations as well. Performed short circuit calculation, fuse, and circuit breaker sizing and coordination calculation. Prepared electrical schematic and wiring diagrams for the waste water project. Worked on the West Windsor (Canada) Co-Generation Plant. Responsibilities entailed engineering and design of switchyard and the 115 KV transmission lines interconnects, protective relaying calculations.

Philadelphia Electric Company's Nuclear Engineering Department. Responsible for various engineering, design, construction, modification, and maintenance projects for Peach Bottom and Limerick Nuclear Power Plants. Systems included Main Generator Protection, Diesel Generator Control, UPS, Inverters, 480 VAC Load Centers and Motor Control Centers, 250/125 VDC, Cathodic Protection. Performed evaluation of motor operated valves (MOVs) as per NRC Generic Letter 89-10 for Peach Bottom. Prepared a design guide for selection of thermal overload heater for protecting continuous and intermittent duty motors. Participated in the development of Design Baseline Documents (DBDs) for 480 V Load centers and Motor Control Centers. Performed 10CFR50.59 reviews and prepared safety evaluation reports. Evaluated INPO's Operating Experience Information and NRC IE Information Notice. Participated in Electrical Distribution System Functional Inspection (EDSFI)

Northeast Utilities Millstone III Plant, Niagara Mohawk Nine Mile Point II Plant and Texas Utilities Comanche Peak Plant for various engineering projects. Coordinated and supported construction completion and testing of instrument/service air system, 120 VAC vital and non-vital bus, station batteries, UPS system, and plant security system. Verified design, test, and as-built status of various NSSS and BOP systems, reviewed preliminary test reports prior to releasing the systems for pre-operational test. Resolved engineering, design, and construction issues at Comanche Peak.

Site Design Engineering, Niagara Mohawk Nine Mile Point II Plant. Evaluated and resolved design problems of Power Generation Control Complex (PGCC). Evaluated and resolved nuclear control and instrumentation hardware. Implemented the modification of control room panels with respect to human factors engineering.

Midland Nuclear Plant Coordinated and supervised construction completion, testing, operation, and maintenance of turbine generator and auxiliaries, excitation and voltage regulation system, isophase bus and coolers, hydrogen detection system, main, station, and start up power transformers and their auxiliaries, protective relaying system, electrical switchboard instrumentation, 6900 volt switchgear, microwave system, load dispatch system. Evaluated and resolved NSSS and BOP electrical problems. Prepared and reviewed preoperational, generic, and operational test procedures. Assigned as Lead Electrical Test Engineer for Turbine Roll activities. Supervised several electricians and technicians.

System Operational Analysis Dept. Performed initial checkout and testing of various systems at Byron and LaSalle Nuclear Stations. Assigned to Station Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation. Served as a consultant and engineering reviewer for Station Mechanical Engineering Department, Station Nuclear Engineering Department, and the Generating Stations. Primary assignments included improving initial engineering of control and instrumentation system at generating stations, coordinating the engineering of auxiliary power systems and resolving control and instrumentation problems in operating stations. For new stations reviewed electrical schematics, logic diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams and pre-operational test procedures and submitted recommendations and comments to various departments.
