•Working as Technical Advisor Social Protection for GIZ Pakistan, providing technical assistance to the Federal and Provincial governments in Pakistan on Social Protection (SP) sectoral reforms.•Working very closely with the Public Policy & Social Protection Reform Unit (PP-SPRU), Planning & Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in implementation of three years SP reform plan for the province. Some of the key milestones achieved include, oDeveloping SP Policy for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (in collaboration with OPM/Sub National Governance (SNG) team) oDeveloping SP Reforms Strategy for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in progress (in collaboration with OPM/Sub National Governance (SNG) team) oSocial Protection Systems Review (SPSR) through application of ISPA Core Diagnostic Instrument (CODI)in progress (in collaboration with OPM/Sub National Governance (SNG) team) oSocial Protection Public Expenditure Review (SPER) in progress (in collaboration with OPM/Sub National Governance (SNG) team) •Supported the provincial Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: technical backstopping for the implementation operationalization and up-scaling of the of Single Window Service (SWS) approache- an integrated service delivery model for social protection •In the area of digitalisation working towards setting up an Integrated Social Protection Information System which will essentially constitute an Integrated Beneficiary Registry (Who is getting What, When and Where?) as well as an Integrated Social Registry (Who is eligible for SP?) in the province. Development of a concept note for the design and implementation of a national Social Protection Information System in Pakistan•Provided technical assistance to the GoKP for development of Program MISs for various departments involved in SP service delivery i.e. Zakat & Usher, Social Welfare Departments. The MIS automates data collection and recording and is an important first step towards Digitalization of Social Protection in KP

• Heading the Social Enterprise working in Low Income Housing in Pakistan. A part from physical land development, the highly sustainable social enterprise model focuses on “creating vibrant and healthy communities through managing critical and complex intricacies of community development.” • MMTi had the privilege to collaborate with Asaar Management Company (AMC) in their 300 units Low income housing project at Warsak Road Peshawar- in areas of land acquisition, land development and homes construction. Backed by Social Impact Investors, the project aims to provide low income segments of the population, affordable and sustainable housing specifically designed to suit their needs, preferences and economics. This is first of its kind project in the country. • Managed around 30 developmental projects in FATA & KPK in 2016-2018; including Drinking Water Supply Schemes, Enterprise development, Schools Construction & Rehabilitation, Roads and Irrigation schemes.• Project Management for construction of specialized defence purpose buildings for Project Management Organization (PMO) in Khanpur District Haripur KPK • Developed Madina Apartments at Gharyal Camp- Murree- 20 apartments developed and sold • MMTi was also involved in negotiating a PPP framework for AMC with the KP Government in Low income housing in the province.• My key responsibilities include leading the business towards short and long term goals as well as to manage day to day activities/project teams measuring progress as per the implementation plans. • Monitoring and evaluating overall progress on achievement of results; Monitoring all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving project’s output;;

• Management, Monitoring & Evaluation of the Foundation’s Health System Strengthening projects in the field of blindness prevention in Pakistan. •Worked closely with health department, various Government/ Non-Governmental organizations and health facilities for improving all six blocks of the Health system i.e. like Infrastructure, Technology, Human Resource Development, Service delivery, Governance and Information•I have worked closely with each level of the Pakistani health system, at the community level through the Lady Health Workers (LHW) program, at the primary level through Primary Health Care health facilities-BHUs under the People’s Primary Health Care Initiative (PPHI), at the secondary level through the District Headquarter (DHQ) hospitals under the provincial health departments and at the tertiary level through autonomous teaching hospitals.•A key aspect of my work included building and managing strategic partnerships with government departments, ministries, foreign and local NGOs, charity organizations and civil society organizations in order to support their programs/ projects under the goals set by Vision 2020 •Contributed towards design and development of FHF Pakistan’s DFAT funded AUD $ 5 M “Pakistan Australia Prevention of Avoidable Blindness” (PAPAB) project•Contributed towards project design & development of FHF Pakistan’s USD $ 2.5 M “Health System Strengthening for managing Diabetes and Diabetic Retinopathy” project to The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust (QEDJT).•Advocacy with key policy and decision makers at various levels in the Government for bringing in a sustainable change to allocate more resources for eye health; creating awareness among the general public about eye health.•Lead the implementation of OEMR (Ophthalmic Electronic Medical Record) system first time in a public health facility in KPK. •Lead the first ever “Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness and Diabetic Retinopathy (RAAB-DR)” survey in District Peshawar

Worked as an intern in the Urban Programs Initiative (UPI), World Vision Australia. I was involved in researching and documenting findings from two UPI pilot projects in Lebanon to contribute towards organizational learning and better understanding of issues related to urban poverty and conflict which in turn helped indeveloping innovative urban program approaches responding to various urban poverty settings.

• Played lead role in creating and managing MTI Madina Homes and SIPSTECH Canada joint venture for introducing and marketing latter’s fast Track, energy efficient and earthquake resistant building technology - Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) in Pakistani market.• Introduced the technology to Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), Government of Pakistan for reconstruction in earthquake affected areas. This involved making presentations at various government levels and preparing a detailed evaluation report for technical and cost analysis of the technology by National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NSEPAK). Upon successful completion of the assignment, the company was selected as one of the four out of 120 foreign & local companies specialized in alternate building technologies, to bid for a major earthquake reconstruction contract in Muzaffarabad, Bagh & Rawalakot (AJK).

• Led the FHF supported Al-Fajr Trust 2005 Earthquake Relief & Rehabilitation Program in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).• Established and managed operations of 3 emergency relief tent villages at Garhi Dupatta, Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, accommodating 200 families/more than 2000 people for more than 9 months providing them shelter, food, medical facility & schooling for children. • In the rehabilitation phase, procured and supplied especially designed earthquake & weather resistant shelters and other construction materials to 200 families in more than 6 villages of Jehlum Valley, AJK. • Procured and managed distribution of relief goods worth more than PKR 50 million and gained extensive procurement/ project management experience in emergency conditions. • Coordination with Government & International Relief Agencies operating in the area.• Managed and supervised a Community Welfare centre at Rahatabad, Peshawar, accommodating Afghan refugees with a free Mother& Child health care centre, a Primary school for poor children and a vocational training centre for girls.

• Project Management and administration of 100-unit housing project that included development of 100 plots & construction of numerous houses in difficult mountainous terrains and extreme weather conditions. Gained enormous Project Management & Administration experience at a multi-sectoral level during the assignment.• Responsible for short term and long term planning, applying effective policy shifts, human resource management, setting monthly/weekly goals for the project team and ensuring deadlines are met. • Various civil works managed under my supervision included providing each plot with metal access & internal roads, drainage & sewage systems, water supply, electricity & telephone connections. I was responsible for contracting and supervising technical teams in this regard including survey & town planning consultants, road construction, civil works, house building, material supply and construction machinery contractors.• I was responsible for dealing with project clients, attending to their requests and complaints, recovering plot installments, keeping records for Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable for the project.• In the marketing sector, I was responsible for attending potential clients visiting the project, arranging accompanied site tours for them, introducing them to the key features of the project and creating the right impression. • A key aspect of my work was Public Relations including dealing with government officials from municipality (for obtaining NOCs, approvals and matters related to Bye- laws etc.), forest department, revenue department, local area Nazims, counselors and dealing with issues of the local population in the area.
