Dr. Mohammad Obeid (Ph.D) is an associate professor in nanomedicine and drug delivery at the faculty of pharmacy at Yarmouk University in Jordan and he is currently the vice dean of scientific research and graduate studies and the former director of the technology transfer office. He has experience of teaching in higher education, conducting research (30+ Publications, 20+ Conference Abstracts, 10+ Oral/Invited Presentations) and securing research funding. Dr. Mohammad is currently involved in a variety of projects and collaborates with academic partners and clinicians and he is supervising master’s students and a viva examiner for many students and referees for journals (50+), publishers and research funding bodies.Dr. Mohammad Obeid research group is applying nano and microfabrication techniques in pharmaceutical drug delivery systems manufacturing. More specifically his work involve the manufacturing of nanocarriers drug delivery systems and therapeutic meshes for controlled drug release, electrospun polymeric nanofibers production for a variety of drug delivery and tissue engineering applications, formulation of novel drug delivery systems such as liposomes and niosomes using microfluidic mixing for imaging and drug targeting using new or currently available anticancer, antidiabetic and anti-infective drugs.Our studies include: formulation, physicochemical characterization, in vitro & in vivo evaluation. Our research involves both the study of material characteristics as well as the application of such knowledge to the design and manufacture of pharmaceutical products for targeted drug delivery through the use of highly advanced techniques.
