Facility Engineer on the prestigious Jubail 2 industrial city expansion. worked with Bechtel on a PMC contract ti support the Royal Cimmission for Jubail to initiate and execute all contracts to develop the Jubail 2 infrastructure including all utility packages such as potabke and fire water, sewer, sea water pipelines for cooling towers, ethane, methane, electric utilities, telecom, pumpstations, sewage treatment plants, right of ways, pipeline corridors, pipe sleepers and pipe racks, and divided the lots to be ready for industrial leasing.

Responsible for supervising and managing over 35 civil/structural engineers and designers. Also, responsible for developing and implementing technical guidelines, training, reviewing personnel needs, recruiting technical personnel, and providing man-hour estimates for new projects.Lead Civil/Structural Engineer, Newmont Mining Company, Cerro Yanacocha Carbon Plant project. The project consists of adsorption, stripping, and regeneration facilities with a total cost of $25,000,000. Lead Civil/Structural Engineer, Southern Peru Copper Corporation, Toquepala 12,000mtpd concentrator expansion study. Responsible for validating the feasibility study performed by SPCC and for the preliminary evaluation of the reclaim tunnel expansion, crusher building expansion, fine ore bin expansion, and the foundation for the new ball mill. Also responsible for providing the civil/structural scope of work description and for providing all civil/structural workLead Structural Engineer, IMC Kalium, Langbeinite potash project. Responsible for performing complex dynamic analysis on two large screen support steel structures to resolve excessive structural vibrations. Performed field measurements of the vibration amplitudes and frequency analysis. Identified the sources of the excessive vibrations, designed modifications to stiffen the two existing structures, and supervised the construction of the modifications. This resulted in a significant reduction in the vibrations of both structures to an acceptable level.Lead Structural Engineer, Southern Peru Copper Corporation, SPCC Expansion Program. The expansion consists of the following $400 Million studies and detailed engineering projects: PLS Pumping Expansion, Toquepala Phase II Expansion of PLS and storm water ponds, Coquina Mine and Lime Plant Expansion, Toquepala Concentrator Expansion, Concentrate Pipeline Expansion, Tailing Disposal and Water Reclamation, and Cuajone Leach SX/EW Plant.

Civil/Structural Lead Engineer for the design of a new Isophthalic Acid (IPA) facility at the Tennessee Eastman Division of Eastman Chemical Company. Responsible for leading the design of an 8-level structural steel building supporting 3 silos of 1,000,000 pounds each, and 5 silos of 400,000 pounds each. Designed the building using Frameworks Plus, GT STRUDL, and the LRFD approach for the first time at Bechtel and saved the client an estimated $200,000.00 on the first project (approximately 1500 tons of steel). Designed elevated slab, siding, grade beams, caissons, piles, pipe racks, pipe Bridges, and silo support structures.Civil/Structural Lead Engineer in the Celleouse Ester group for the Tennessee Eastman Division of Eastman chemical Company. Responsible for budgets, estimates, schedules, drawings, and the design of a new structural steel building, 5 stories high, open structure with concrete slabs, equipment access platforms, equipment supports, and caisson foundations. Designed caissons and concrete cap for the foundations of a 12’ diameter by 170’ high AZEO process column.Civil/Structural Lead Engineer in the Calculation Automation Team. Developed, along with two other structural engineers, simple to use EXCEL worksheets for the design of monorails, caissons, base plates, and for the calculation of wind and seismic loads in accordance with the SBC. These programs are being used by a total of 30 structural engineers to reduce the cost and duration of the projects.
