Senior Radiotherapy Medical Physicist And Radiation Protection Officer
-Installation design, technical specification, acceptance, commissioning and maintenance of equipment-Have responsibility for the acceptance and commissioning of equipment, including radiation therapy treatment and imaging units, brachytherapy sources and treatment planning systems.(safety checks ,mechanical checks,dosimetery checks).-Acquire the data needed for the clinical use of treatment units (part of the acceptance and commissioning process for entry into service).-Have overall responsibility for the treatment planning modalities ( VMAT,IMRT,SRS, SBRT, 3D CONFORMAL, ELECTRON BEAM) -Perform patient dose verifications including in vivo dosimetry-Optimize the treatment planning process, including image acquisition and treatment delivery.-Develop a quality management Programme for radiation therapy imaging, dose calculation and treatment delivery systems-Radiation safety and protection of patients, staff and the general public-Supervise, perform or assist in the planning of the fabrication and QC of compensation filters, custom shields, wedges and other beam modifying devices
