An in-house design and consultancy section of Housing Directorate to facilitate construction of residential buildings all across the country. I am working as a Geotechnical Engineer to solve problems relevant with pre and post construction of structures.Roles and responsibilities include: Geotechnical Investigation planning, proposal and budgeting Desk and on ground visits for site feasibility studies Supervision of field testing including drilling of boreholes for performance of SPT, CPT, DCP, VS Supervision of field testing including excavation of test pits to visually classify strata, sampling for field density, moisture content Planning and managing laboratory testing including sieve analysis, index, compressive and shear strength of soil and rock samples Upgradation of lab equipment and staff skills Liaison for advance field and laboratory testing Obtain Geotechnical parameters for analysis of bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability and Interpretative report writing Recommendations to design Geotechnical Structures including both shallow and deep foundations, gravity and RCC retaining walls, embankments and slope protection works Site visits to observe pile foundation execution and testing including SIT, CSL, Static and Dynamic loading of test and working piles. Site visits and forensic investigations of old existing buildings to assess hairline cracks and foundation settlements
