About Mohammad Rahman

For the past few years, the automotive sector has faced four main challenges: electrification, connectivity, autonomous vehicles and developing mobility services. Competition has also become increasingly fierce, with new layers such as Audi, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Lucid Motors, Nio, Renault-Nissan, Volkswagen and Xpeng joining Tesla in the electrified car market. In 2022, automakers need to take a strong focus on solving electrification issues, and in turn that will require them to develop integrated software to power new vehicles. They must therefore build a culture of innovation and collaboration within their organizations to ensure employees can understand and adapt to new targets and working models. This is why I'm excited about the future of automotive manufacturing and developing my skills in the design and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and automated machinery that results in system optimizations, and better vehicles.Over the last 5 years, I've improved my skills in: • Helping define customer requirements and field applications, then creating project schedules to facilitate communication with engineering leaders and automotive OEMs to meet cost, schedule, and product quality goals.• Driving robotic automation technologies and emerging automotive products to market through supporting complex system engineering projects and assisting the cross-functional hardware development and testing teams.• Supporting production leaders in establishing the manufacturing plans, including schedule development, resource requirements and integration efforts of third-party systems while reporting on system adoption and optimization.• Handling a wide variety of lean manufacturing and mechanical design projects, including the design tools and fixtures, and integration processes to enable the utilization of robotic systems and industrialization technologies.• Managing multiple concurrent projects and proposals by working cross-functionally with external suppliers as well as inhouse engineers to analyze trade-offs between performance, stability, manufacturability, schedule, and cost.Over the next 5 years, my mission is to drive innovative technologies and emerging manufacturing solutions to the automotive market through designing, testing and integrating systems, while ensuring the production lines run in a safe and efficient manner. Thanks for viewing my LinkedIn profile. Let's connect and discuss how we can prepare for the next 5 years, where we’ll see consolidation amongst sectors and a rise in alternative modes of transport.
