Designing has always been a part and parcel of my life. From doodling cartoon characters to graffiti on my room wall. I started off learning AutoCAD during my ITE days and I knew this is the right course for me. I had an internship at PACC SHIP MANAGER which is now know as PAX Ocean Engineering Pte Ltd for 3 months. I learn how to use Aveva Marine on the job and designed marine equipment. As I graduated with a Higher Nitec in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design, the call for National Service came. Serve for 2 years as a Transport Operator. Got my Class 3 and 4 military license as well as ITE Skills Certificate in Basic Vehicle Maintenance.With the end of National Service I managed to secure a job at Keppel Fels Deepwater Technology Group as a Draftsman. I specialized in the designing of Semisubmersible, barge and general arrangments. Had an opportunity to assist in inclining experiment of a tender barge; had to stay onboard for 3 days. Work for 6 years and left with in-depth knowledge in AutoCAD, Rhino 3D and Google SketchUp.I received an unexpected phone call from a HR representative from Herrenknecht Asia Headquarter PTE LTD looking for a Technical Designer. Hence here I am now with a new skill set in PTC Creo/Element Direct. Even though I had to learn tunneling machinery and a new drafting software from scratch, I took it as a challenge for me and told myself to be positive. It has been 3 years then.
