Job Description & Responsibilities:-•Handles Goods shipment process and local clearance procedures in coordination with local service provider and according to the IKEA standards.•Gather information from the Goods Flow team on any goods damages, submit and follow up on claims with relevant parties.•Always coordination with other functions in logistics team to ensure proper communication and smooth work processes.•To ensure that all goods ordered to the store have the proper customs clearance documents in order according to local legislation.•Manage the relation with the service provider for timely clearance of containers to avoid detention/demurrages and prioritize containers accordingly as per the need articles in the store.•Review and follow up on weekly containers receiving schedule in coordination with the inventory controller and goods flow section.•Verify the clearing agent invoices against the agreed rates for this service.•Reports the damages and discrepancies with the insurance company and the suppliers and ensure all insurance inspection is carried on timely manner to avoid non-availability of stock on the sales floor.•Ensure and update the receiving of goods in Navision system.•Review weekly report on shipment damages and discrepancies and distribute this report to the Finance Department and the SSS Group Leader.•Prepare and review claims of damages, quality issues and discrepancies to IFPM – Athens and to the local insurance service providers and submit them to SSS Senior group team leader for review and Authorization before sending them.•Monitor Claims Accessing System (CASY) for Safety alarms, quality issues, claims and repairs instruction for sales stock articles.•Report to SSS Group leader regularly on Shipping and clearness KPIs and Issues.•Maintain an updated knowledge of the IKEA range

- Responsible for physical control, handling and movement of all materials.- Responsible for Material Receipts: Supervising material receipts from suppliers to ensure material verification for quality and quantity and issuing goods receiving note.- Responsible for reporting to purchase department for any rejected materials- Following up with store keepers for material issuance after receiving indents from sites and factories; and to ensure issuing on time.- Responsible for Analysis of suppliers through several requirements.
