About Mohammad Safaei

I have BA in English Language and Literature, MA in English Language Teaching, and PhD in Postcolonial Literature in English Language. I have over 25 years experience in areas related to language, translation, copyediting and literature. For several years I taught at Islamic Azad University (Iran). From October 2014 to April 2022 I was an assistant professor at the University of Nottingham (Malaysian Campus) where I taught history of English language, Survey of English Literature, World Literatures (in English), and early modern English drama (Shakespeare and his contemporaries). Currently I am a freelance scholar and researcher. I am developing some of my previous studies. I am interested in topics related to politics and religion in literature as well as topics related to space and spatiality.
