• Designed and facilitated an 8 weeklong Wellness and Recovery group module for Veterans of various ages.• Attended weekly interdisciplinary seminars along with Psychology post-doctoral fellows, nurses, and social workers; presented on clinical cases; and led mindfulness practices for other healthcare professionals.• Provided individual psychotherapy to Veterans under hierarchical supervision from Social Workers and Psychologists.• Co-facilitated a California Law & Ethics seminar for the VA cohort of 2018 – 2019 social work interns.• Completed an 8 weeklong course on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).• Completed Suicide Risk Assessments, Mental Health Initial Assessments, and Program Placement Referrals through the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).• Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals at an inpatient psychiatric unit to directly provide social work services to vulnerable veterans struggling with homelessness, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, active manic or psychotic symptoms, comorbidities, substance abuse, Military Sexual Trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).• Provided therapy to Veterans utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing, guided discovery, problem solving, psychoeducation, and active listening.• Formulated treatment plans with Veterans in order to manage and reduce psychosocial stressors.• Maintained rigorous documentations to keep records of interaction with clients and their prognosis.
