𝗠𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 Despite my successful corporate career, I've always had a passion for food and a discerning palate. I'm a telecoms engineer by trade and after finishing university, I initially planned to work for Telstra for 6 months to gain experience. However, I spent 20 years at Telstra, working in various roles, including managing large portfolios, global alliances, commercial, sales and operations. I also held a Country Manager position for a Telstra-US alliance for many years. I decided to follow a passion and dream, which led me to open Zahli in Surry Hills, a renowned food destination in Sydney. My plan was to run set-up Zahli and have it managed by expert personnel. The rapid success made it clear that I had to choose whether to remain in my corporate role or follow my dream. In 2014, I left the corporate life and committed to the hospitality industry. My vision for Zahli has always been to be the #1 Middle Eastern restaurant in Sydney, attracting clientele who appreciate high quality Lebanese cuisine. I'm proud of my restaurant's success, which has gone from being a good Lebanese restaurant in Sydney to being crowned by the World Luxury Restaurant Awards as "Best Lebanese – GLOBALLY". I've set a premium new benchmark for Lebanese cuisine, focusing on delivering excellence in ambience, product, and service.
