As a Ph.D. student in the Mechanical Engineering department at Politecnico di Milano, supported by a scholarship from STMicroelectronics, I focused on optimizing gyroscopes and sensor technologies. Collaborating with the ST MEMS design team, I led efforts to analyze and mitigate Quadrature error, introducing novel self-compensating structures. Leveraging simulations and design refinements, I successfully patented a device that reduced errors by over 50% and halved unit size.
