Mohammad got a PhD in Computer Systems Engineering from University of South Australia (UniSA) in 2011, where he researched about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Multi-agent Systems. He created a Java-based simulation environment to test and improve the navigation and collaboration of intelligent agents using evolutionary algorithms. His Bachelor and Honours degrees were in Electronics Engineering at UniSA, where he enjoyed creating and programming robots and electronic gadgets. He created a semi-intelligent surveillance robot as his final year project, which won a couple of awards. He has great interests in Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality and spend his spare time to learn more about new technologies. Mohammad has 10+ years of experience in programming and software development. Mohammad has worked in various roles including Senior Optimisation Engineer, Software Developer, Web Designer, and Research Associate. At Schneider Electric (Clipsal) he worked as a Software Design Engineer developing innovative home automation software solutions for commissioning and controlling of smart connected devices. Prior to this, he worked as an Optimisation Engineer and Backend Developer at SolveIT Software creating applications for advanced planning and scheduling, supply chain network optimisation, demand forecasting, and predictive modelling in the mining industry domain. He also ran a small web designing business as a sole trader. Apart from his technical duties, he volunteered to be a trained Health & Safety Representative, and Fire Warden in his previous workplaces.Mohammad's hobbies are drawing, playing the guitar and watching good quality movies. He has a great passion for martial arts and received his black belt in Taekwondo in 2020 after about 7 years of practice.
