The Registration Officer will ensure that UNHCR's Registration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented in accordance with relevant UNHCR standards and policies, and all persons of concern have fair and transparent access to registration procedures. In that context, the Registration Assistant is supposed to conduct, i.e., the following activities:• Conduct filing related activities including digitization of physical files.• Assist with the reception and scheduling of individual cases for registration related activities.• Conduct standard registration interviews and other enhanced interviews with complex cases as needed.• Provide counselling to, and responds to queries from, asylum seekers and refugees regarding UNHCR's registration procedures and their rights and entitlements.• Conduct admission, scheduling/appointment issuance activities• Perform data clean-up as needed.• Maintain accurate and up-to date records and data related to all individual registration cases.• Identify persons with specific needs and ensure timely referral to protection follow-up as required.• Identify cases with specific needs and/or urgent registration needs including unaccompanied children, cases with urgent medical needs and cases with urgent legal or physical protection needs.• Refer cases to functional units in a timely manner, in accordance with their needs, and follow up on their further processing.• Perform other duties as needed.
