Developing HSSE system in the port and complying with local and international regulations

Provide advice on all HSE issues within the Exploration Department with specific emphasis on:Implementation and maintenance of the HSE-Management System; Environmental Impact Assessments / impact reduction; Health Risk Assessments, and;HSE documentation (including Emergency Procedures).Co-ordinate the gathering and reporting of HSE statisticsProvide advice on and co-ordinate HSE aspects during project definition and implementation. Assist in review of Contractor HSE plans, audits, and inspections.Develop, assist with implementation of and monitor Exploration Department ISO14001 compliance within the overall PDO framework.Assist in incident investigations as required. Review incident data (both corporate and Departmental) for trends and areas of systemic weakness within the Exploration Department.Develop Exploration HSE plan on an annual basis.

Coordinate and develop HSE communications packages.

Monitor in-field activities at all times to ensure that the operation is carried out safely.Ensure contractors provide effective, efficient and quality Cargo Haulage services to meet customers' expectations at minimum cost to PDO with due regard to HSE.Constantly ensure compliance by contractors to company standards, code of practice, procedures, contractual obligations and HSE policies and procedures during Cargo Haulage operations.Advise management promptly of unsafe plant and equipment, of unsafe or unhealthy working conditions and of potential hazards to the environment, while taking appropriate remedial action.Ensure workforce is competent and that they understand HSE Procedures to carry out work safely.

SouthMonitor in-field activities at all times to ensure that the operation is carried out safelyStrategically carry out realistic budget forecast for Cargo Haulage activities.Notify, investigate and report all HSE incidents according to PDO proceduresMotivate Cargo Haulage contractors towards continuous quality improvement within the Cargo haulage and consolidation operationsImprove relationship between Logistics, contractors and customers

Assist Supply functions in the investigation and follow-up of incidents. Support TSL process leaders in their monthly safety meetings with their contractors.Enhance safety awareness levels among Supply and contractor staff. Monitor progress of implementation of action items arising from safety and business audits.Actively promote the concept of Target Work Groups among the various Supply functions to promote focus and effectiveness.Coordinate and attend Supply HSE inspections and follow-up of actions.Focal point for HSE communication, performance recognition, fire control and safety drillsCascade ISO14001 awareness sessions to supply staff and contractors
