I am a current BSc Biomedical Science student at Leeds Beckett University and have a wide range of knowledge in the current field and I am doing the Medical Biochemistry pathway to increase my knowledge in the field of research. I have a lot of excellent volunteering experience with a couple of very well known organisations. I have worked for NHS as a Volunteer for about 2 years and counting. During my time with the NHS I have built up many transferrable skills such as working in a fast paced environment, good and effective communication, weather be with team member or patient, the ability to use my own initiative for certain scenarios. The other organisation I am working for is the Batley Bulldogs Community Trust as a project manager and have acquired many transferrable skills to take forward. The skills I have acquired are, working in a leadership role where I have to manage a team of colleagues, the ability to communicate with different types of people, such as people of different linguistic needs, and this has been very well dealt with as I am fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and have a good understanding in speaking German and Arabic. As of now I am currently in Y3 of university where I have gained a lot of Lab based skills, such as histology, gram staining, preparing buffer solutions and PCR testing process. I am currently looking to enhance my scientific knowledge with relevant experience.
