•Lead and manage the Supply Chain function, defining, developing and implementing Purchasing plans, policies and procedures, under the direction of the Supply Chain Director, that meet the needs of the Business.•Managed team of 32 members, responsible for work allocation, review of the work performed by the team and review of annual performance of the team.•Searching and selects Vendors, sub-contractors on the basis of their ability to meet the client requirements with full satisfaction on material quality, price, payment terms and delivery schedule, conforming to ISO standards of the company. •Close coordination and cooperates with other interface departments (Project Management, QA / QC, Production, Engineering and Executive Management).•Represents the Procurement Department during Project Kick-off meeting with clients and delegated inspectors, as well as inter-department contract review meeting, Updates and informs the management about the progress periodically,•Prepare approved suppliers list once in every three months and Arrange vendor contracts, bargains for best costs, and observes quality of purchased materials.•Negotiate with key suppliers on contract issues as required in order to ensure best value purchasing terms are obtained. Also Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers in order to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain Management process.•Understand the business cycle, competitive positioning, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, challenges etc. •Support client with project management, resource allocation, risk assessment, resource management and preparing client presentations.•Review Business model.

•Managing the existing accounts of key customer and creating new customer by regularly participating in exhibitions, trade exhibitions, internet directories etc.•Exposure to sectors as Oil & Gas, Construction, Chemicals and Food and Beverage industry, successfully procure for companies like Greater Nile Petroleum(Sudan) and China Petroleum Corp Abu Dhabi and secure future business at the same time.•Handle all imported materials requirements and perform all necessary activities for purchasing such materials from overseas sources.•Locate new reliable sources for material acquisition, using the internet, trade directories, and other media add to suppliers masters, if found promising.•Develop and maintain continuous business relationships with overseas sources for favorable credit terms and reliable services. • Documents all the work, and maintain records in an organized and easily retrievable manner.• Exercise good time management practice to complete assigned sourcing request and process FPRs and any other project assignments with given time frame.• Negotiate rates, terms of payment and delivery from single or multiple sources (as the case may be) and prepare a Comparative Statement with recommendations for decision by concerned Sales Staff.• Issue Purchase order, obtain Order Acknowledgement and Performa Invoice, and follow up till suppliers Delivery. Then transfer folder to logistics and shipping Expeditor.•Liaise with Finance Dept. and logistics & shipping coordinator for all payments and shipping related matters during order processing.•In the event of problems such as failure of response from Supplier, excessive delays or partial delivery, incorrect or missing certification/ TC’s OSND (OVER SHORT NON CONFORMITY AND DAMAGE) etc. communicate directly and follow up with supplier to obtain desired resolution.•Take ownership of the Company’s ISO Procedures and rules, OHSAS AND QHSE practices and implement them as applicable.
