As the Country Representative for iMMAP in Afghanistan, I lead and manage all aspects of the organization's operations in Kabul and the surrounding region. iMMAP is a global nonprofit focused on providing information management services to humanitarian and development organizations, with a mission to improve decision-making and outcomes for vulnerable populations.In this role, I am responsible for strategic planning, financial oversight, monitoring and evaluation, human resource management, and staff safety and security. With over 16 years of experience, including positions within the UN and humanitarian organizations, I bring a deep understanding of the UN cluster system and extensive expertise in emergency relief management.My leadership style fosters a culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation within my dedicated team. I actively engage with national and international donors, and government to represent iMMAP effectively and build strong relationships with various stakeholders, including government officials and non-governmental organizations.

In my role as the Country Director for iMMAP's Jordan and Syria programs, I am responsible for leading teams in both countries and overseeing programs that support the ongoing Syria Crisis. I work closely with staff in the country to ensure effective and efficient program delivery, managing the budgets of the projects, finance, HR, security, and related operations, while also ensuring that the programs are aligned with the organization's global strategies and policies. Additionally, I am actively involved in fundraising activities and play a key role in developing and implementing a business development strategy that expands the organization's portfolio and ensures its continued success as a key stakeholder in humanitarian and development work in the region.

Throughout this period, I served as the leader for a capacity development project, responsible for planning and implementing the project, designing information management materials that met the needs of our partners in the region. Crisis Prevention And Recovery Unit - Undp Sudan - Contracted By Iom

Leading, planning, organizing, budgeting, and implementing the capacity development process and programs. Contributed to the Development of the Crisis and Recovery Mapping and Analysis (CRMA) toolkit, and promoting it from being a local initiative to being recognized as a standard for replication in other countries. Resource mobilization and implementation of CRMA activities. Managing knowledge management technical training workshops supporting the roll-out of the IMWG (Information Management Working Group) tool (UN Information Management tool for the tracking and monitoring of interventions). Taking part in government negotiations and workshop planning and implementations. Providing training and workshops to all government, state, and national stakeholders. Coordinating and supervising the development of knowledge management training materials, documentation, visual communication, evaluation, and reporting of the process. Conducting CRM mapping (community level risk mapping in crisis affected communities) workshops at local and state levels. (Darful, Kasala, Gedarif, South Kurdofan). Visualizing information and mapping data that aid the project’s communication goals.

Angola

The primary purpose of the consultancy is to conduct IM and IT technical evaluation for the National Institute for Demining (INAD), in terms of databases, equipment, capacities and processes.Conducting a technical report for INAD highlighting the challenges facing their activities in Angola,Proposing new IM structure to assist in resolving challenges and making proper changes for better information flow and reporting. Producing visualizations for the Mine Action National Authority (CINDAH) supporting the mine action status in Angola and demonstrating the demining efforts in the period of 2005-2010.Handling highly sensitive and classified data regarding demining in the country, produced by the government, and ensuring the security of information and sharing protocols. Developed a technical evaluation that highlighted personal, database, equipment, and human resources challenges that were used to solve these challenges and create a better structure to better the activities held by the government of Angola and UNDP.

Collecting all the data required to reflect the land covering process and assisting in documentation, Preparing multimedia documentation. Assisting in the development of an electronic archive for a smooth handover of the project during the phase-out period. Providing technical support in matters such as data acquisition, fieldwork, and data quality assessment. Coordinating with stakeholders (e.g. the remote sensing team) to ensure that the data gathered are of high quality and relevant to the project objectives.
