Wuzara Shariah Council Dewsbury/London consists of prominent Muslim scholars which assists Muslim women who are stuck in unsuccessful marriages. In Islam, there are four ways in which a marriage may end: Death of one of the parties, granting of divorce by the husband (talaq), separation by way of consent between the parties (khula) and dissolution of marriage (faskh-e-nikah). Under Islamic law the husband grants the divorce. However, where the marriage is not working out and the husband refuses to give divorce, in Islamic countries, the wife would simply go to the Court and have the marriage dissolved. The Council provides this service for women stuck in unsuccessful marriages.
