I am Mohammed Hadia, a sustainable fashion designer and the founder of Stitching Palestine. My journey in fashion began with a strong passion for designing and creating unique clothing pieces. After high school, I pursued online courses in fashion design, expanding my expertise in pattern making, drawing, and design software.In 2019, I launched my T-shirt startup, driven by a vision to create sustainable and stylish clothing. My brand focuses on environmentally friendly practices, such as using organic materials and recycling fabrics. One of my proudest achievements has been my involvement in volunteering projects aimed at educating children about sustainable fashion and raising environmental awareness.Navigating the design landscape in an occupied country like Palestine has posed unique challenges. Sourcing fabrics, finding inspiration, and shipping designs have required innovation and resilience. These obstacles have fortified my adaptability and problem-solving skills, contributing to my growth as a designer.Currently, I am self-employed, driving sustainable fashion projects and exploring 3D modeling. This allows me to merge creativity with technological innovation, resulting in designs that inspire and align with sustainability principles. My work reflects my commitment to combating the environmental impact of fast fashion and promoting conscious clothing choices.My future vision is to reduce fast fashion's global prevalence and raise awareness about sustainable clothing's importance.
