It includes determining stress intensity factor and the length of the crack grown.• Literature survey on “adaptive composite structure” which include design consideration, shape optimization, manufacturing and testing of adaptive composite structures (shape memory alloys).• Modeling and finite element analysis of bulk head and its parts (F-16 fighter aircraft) using SOLID WORKS and NASTRAN software.

Responsibilities:-• Performs maintenance duties in and around dredger, tug boats, anchor boats and barges machineries, systems and facilities; to trouble shoot, perform minor repairs and respond to emergency calls for major system breakdown.• Educate, develop and implement check lists, set up and take down, preventive and periodical maintenance through-out the vessel’s on-board equipment and related systems.• Working closely with project site management staff and crews on board to meet production timeline; and resolve maintenance challenges to ensure efficient and safe operations at the most optimal level.• Record all maintenance and repair works performed into weekly, daily and service reports. Includes costs, resources and time taken should repair work is being performed or carried out on site or in yard.• Maintain up to date inventory list of supplies and spares onboard vessel and at workshops for any repair be undertaken.• Liaise with clients/customers and sub-contractors for vessel repair and maintenance works. • Inspect all pipelines (Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Water) of the vessels to check for leakages, cracks and repair/replace if necessary.• Inspect /Maintain hydraulic machines like winch, motors etc and make repairs/overhaul if necessary. • Inspection of sign boards, application of safety permits for confined spaces etc. • Go on sea trials to ensure the vessel is in perfect condition for license renewal and generate report for the same.• To chair the safety committee and assist in implementing decisions to ensure safe working conditions inside vessel and in the shipyard.Hands on experiences:• Dismantling, servicing and installation of Propeller Shaft and steering room assemblies.• Overhaul of Marine Diesel Engines and Generators.• Overhaul, installation and commissioning of mechanical pumps.• Vessel deck modification such as hydraulic winch, exhaust funnel modification and insulation, room blower replacements etc.
