As a valued member of the network department at Princess Nourah University, my role encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities crucial to the seamless functioning of the network infrastructure. Key tasks include:- Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning- Provide Level-1/2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.My commitment to excellence in these areas contributes to the overall stability, security, and efficiency of the network environment at Princess Nourah University.

The training experience was both enriching and engaging, despite encountering some challenges. During this period, I actively contributed to the installation of new systems on various devices. I successfully repaired a malfunctioning switch and programmed it at one of the universities. Additionally, I took on the responsibility of monitoring the network, extending (RJ45) wires, and handling optical fiber connections through soldering.One of the more challenging aspects of my tasks involved creating a robust infrastructure involving the termination of 8 cables out of a total of 15, complete with all necessary supplies. This demanding assignment required a meticulous approach and a comprehensive understanding of network architecture.Overall, this experience not only honed my technical skills but also underscored my ability to navigate and overcome intricate challenges in a professional setting.
