- Provide leadership and guidance on all operational & technical aspects of a large scale commercial product facility having 5 modules (capability to run a facility of volume 300KL with multiple products) - Ensure smooth operations with international regulatory standards & to build a team capable of delivering Business Goals for API Business.- Effective Production Planning, Execution, Maximizing Capacity Utilization and honoring the Commitments w.r.t deliverables. Proven experience in identifying and evaluating bottlenecks and performance improvement opportunities within the facility.- To achieve Budgeted yields, Usage Norms and Overall product dispatches – Manufacturing efficiency. Possess strong financial / budgeting experience in a manufacturing environment.- To achieve Consistency in the quality of the Products manufactured – Right first time (RFT).- Identifying & implementing ways and means to improve plant productivity / efficiencies and drive cost efficiencies and bring about overall reduction in the cost of production- To execute New product launches / Validation campaigns as per plan – To establish processes as per budgeted capacities. - Manage technology transfer of new products in to the facility.- To execute new Projects / Expansions successfully on time.- Investigation & handling of all deviations and market complaints as per quality system.- To reduce the manufacturing costs by improving yields, solvent recoveries and improvement in quality of the products manufactured.- To enforce compliance to safety & cGMP guidelines. - Handling of various kinds of audits (GMP, Regulatory, Stock, Safety etc).- Training and development of the Operations team to build competencies on Processes, Safety, regulatory & GMP guidelines.- Leading a Multi-Product Facility with a team of ~120 people + supporting staff.

Responsible for managing the scaling-up of chemical processes for numerous generic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients from the R&Ds Laboratory scale to the Manufacturing Plant scale through Kilogram Laboratories and Pilot Plants to deliver robust and safe chemical processes for in-house execution, scale-up, and technology transfer to external vendors. My profile involves up to 60% travel.
