Legal Officer
Current• Prepare affidavits, legal correspondence, and other documents for attorneys.• Organize and maintain documents in both paper and electronic filing systems.• Provide administrative support to lawyers.• Handle communication with clients.• Locate and develop case-relevant information.• Investigate the facts of cases.• Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.• Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.• Draft correspondence and legal documents, including contracts and mortgages.• Obtain affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court.• File exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel.• Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
