Responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting to parent company in accordance with US GAAP.Sole contact point for all projects initiated by the parent company’s Controllers Group and PWC.Review of all contracts ensuring revenue recognition is in accordance with US GAAP.Preparation and review of all closing files at month end.Must approve or delegate to a senior accountant all journal entires prepared by non-accountants.Assisting in the year end external audit with the local auditors as well as the internal auditors from head office. Preparation of monthly reports that are sent out to all Divisional heads to monitor variances to last year and budget.Review of the monthly vat returns that are prepared by senior accountant.Preparation of the tax calculations for the provisional tax submissions to SARS.Review of all supplier reconciliations prepared by clerks at month-end.Preparation of the budgets on excel then load on Hyperion and then prepare the budget deck for submission to global controllers. Managing a team of 4 staff that will enable the finance function to be performed adequately and professionally.
