Key duties: I provide advice, information and support to people with dementia and their carers to raise awareness and understanding of dementia and hold information events, talks, and stalls. I do assessment, review and signpost the unmet needs of carers and person with dementia to other appropriate services including statutory agencies, voluntary sector and community organizations.I am a ATS approved trained trainer with Silver status in the field of dementia awareness raising. I facilitate and run a BME dementia cafe at LMC (London Muslim Center) which is first and very unique kind of service the Society has ever provided in UK.

. I work as an Interpreter and take assignments for clients which includes different local Govt. departments, NHS, Police, Solicitors etc. My interpreting and translation experience also includes working as a research interpreter for IPSOS MORI in 2009 for NHS Survey project.

A research project funded by LB Camden to identify level of needs amongst carers from BME and particularly Bangladeshi carers who looked after someone who were suffering from a dementia. I collected information and data from service providers, arranged/organized focus group and 1-1 visit with carers and gathered their opinions/experiences to use in the report to analyze and evaluate with current good practices examples. I've produced a report with findings, good practices examples and recommendations.
