Migration Inclusion Strategic Lead | Diversity & Inclusion Advocate | Bristol City Council I'm passionate about driving a positive change and fostering inclusive communities. As a Refugee myself, I've been through the asylum process and therefore I have first-hand experience about the system and the barriers surrounding the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.Throughout my experience I've worked with people from different backgrounds Including those who have come through the Syrian resettlement scheme, The Afghani Relocation Programme. This has given me insights into the many challenges and barriers asylum seekers and refugees will be facing. This can have a huge impact on mental health and wellbeing. All refugees have potential and individual skills, however due to mental health issues and the language barrier both their confidence and self-esteem may be very low which acts as an obstacle. In my role, as Migration Inclusion Strategic Lead, I specialize in leveraging the power of diversity to create welcoming environments where individuals from all walks of life can thrive.With a strong background in diversity and inclusion consulting, I have developed comprehensive knowledge on strategies to address the unique challenges faced by migrating populations. By implementing inclusive policies and practices, I seek to help unlock the potential of diverse talent and enhance cross-cultural relationships.My expertise lies in collaborating with stakeholders at various levels, including government agencies, nonprofits, and corporate organizations, to design and implement inclusive initiatives that promote integration and equal opportunities for all.
