I am very passionate Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases consultant. I have an extensive experience in Medical Microbiology, infectious Diseases, Infection Prevention and Control and antimicrobial stewardship. I have an extensive experience in infectious disease research and diagnostic testing.Research experience:Recognized four times by the Canadian Association For the Study of Liver Diseases (CASL) for the best Hep C research. Also recognized as the best researcher at the American Association for the Study of the Liver Diseases (AASLD).Discovered CD5 as a new receptor for Hepatitis C (HCV) that mediates its lymphotropism which act as a reservoir for re-infection of the liver. Showed for the first time the effect of cellular proteins on the maturation and assembly of HCV virions and other flaviviruses. Also showed that other flaviviruses, such as Zika and Dengue viruses have common pathways to HCV for assembly and release. I believe life is a unique opportunity for every human being and we should work hard to build a decent life with peace and security. Working with microorganisms for more than 10 years inspired me to learn the meaning of holistic life, which is healing the body, mind, and spirit naturally. It's a world with a unique set of rules that aim to support each other to survive the atrocity of a human body. How beautiful it is to see that even bacteria differentiate from each other with a certain fashion of colourful colonies and how they pick the environment that suits their needs and support its survival.On the other hand, the human body that stems from one cell which differentiates into several body organs indicates a unity, attachment, and intimacy that humans nowadays have lost in their daily lives. How amazing is that world that can teach us a lot.
