For over 12 years, I have been serving as a Muslim chaplain at The University of Manchester and The Manchester Metropolitan University, two of the largest and most diverse institutions in the UK. In this role, I provide spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and social justice advocacy to Muslim students and staff, helping them navigate the challenges and opportunities of university life, explore their faith and identity, and cope with personal and professional issues.I am also a co-founder and chair of trustees of Manchester Muslim Student Fund, a charity organization that supports Muslim students in education, and a co-founder and director of Islamic and Family Services CIC, a social enterprise that offers divorce mediation, family counseling, and Islamic education. I have a BA in Arabic and Islamic Studies and studied Law at The University of Manchester. I am passionate about empowering Muslim communities, promoting interfaith dialogue, and fostering social cohesion.
