• Responsible for leading a team of analysts in providing macroeconomic and quantitative research. Develop an investment strategy and vision for a +$200bn fund (Pension fund) derived from global macro and macro-thematic trends and developments. • Develop a wide analytical tool kit, data acquisition and proprietary data sets. Create research policies and framework to encapsulate both quantitative and qualitative inputs into a cohesive overarching view and investment strategy to drive decision making, efficient risk taking and alpha generation.• Inform and influence the management of approximately ZAR 2 trillion ($200bn) worth of investments across both listed and unlisted capital markets (including direct real estate, private equity and impact investing), both domestically and internationally.
