Sr. Staff Reservoir EngineerExxonmobil Usp Jan 2000 - Apr 2003Responsible for developing new opportunities, reserve evaluation and production optimization for the four fields in the West Texas Midland Basin. Developed and implemented a Horizontal Drilling Program in the Devonian reservoir of the Parks field. Successfully drilled two wells in 2000, five wells in 2001, and six wells including XOM's first multilateral horizontal well in West Texas. These wells resulted in a cumulative IP of 3.5 MMCFD and 800 BCPD. The challenge in the program, in particular with the multilateral well was the technical consensus and coordination between reservoir, geology, drilling, subsurface groups and the service companies involved.Evaluated and documented the remaining reserves for Parks field. The reserve evaluation for the existing wells and the development drilling resulted in a reserve adds of 8.8 MMBOE.Evaluated and proposed four workovers and two horizontal wells in the Pegasus field. The work is pending on the renegotiation of the Gas Sales Contract. Through contact communication with the field personnel were able to improve surveillance maintain production at a constant level. Helped acquisition team to evaluate Devonian, Fussleman, and Montoya horizontal wells potential in the southwestern Delaware Basin in Reeves County. It was determined to be uneconomic. Also helped evaluate Atoka potential in the Desperado Field, Midland County. XOM will contact Pioneer to participate in drilling wells in this field.Evaluate the reserves and drilling potential for the Azelea field. Recommended not drilling due to limited reserves potential high risk.Evaluated possible horizontal drilling in the Wilshire field. Proposed two re-entries and two follow up drill locations. The work was planned for 2003-04.
