My main resposibility as Technical Lead is leading the direction for R&D activities and production priorities within the polishing department, including:- Being the specialist with respect to our polishing procedures and capabilities.- Ensuring that our technicians and engineers are trained in various disciplines within polishing and metrology procedures/analysis.- Act as point of contact for the polishing process for our departments in Europe, Asia and in house- All responsibilities from my previous role

My job as an NPI Polishing Engineer is primarily to introduce new designs and develop our manufacturing process to make them comply with our strict tolerances after they have been processed in our department, including: - Daily coordination of production with the Tooling and Quality-Control department. - Responsible of the technical planning of Production/R&D tasks for our 5 technicians in the department. - Taking contact to our suppliers to find the most suitable parts for our ultra-precise manufacturing. - Coaching and training of our technicians as new procedures gets introduced. - Documentation and approval of molds that has been processed in our department. - Travel to our sites outside of Denmark to support production and implement new procedures.

Carrying out the polishing process of wafer level glass optics molds, including:- Ultra-precision machining of tungsten carbide molds for high temperature glass molding- Ultra-precision surface finishing processes- Metrology: Measurement and calibration of high end measurement equipment (nanometer scale) to ensure the quality of our products- Quality Control of incoming and outgoing molds- Main developer of the CNC toolpath for our extremely precise polishing process.
