Project: Khalifa AvenueBudget: around 7.0 Billion QARDescription:Khalifa Avenue will become one of the major landmarks in Doha integrating activities and art works for all users types through a series of organic and urban spaces.The Dukhan Highway East project, as part of the Expressway Programme, runs 12.6 km from the Bani Hajer Interchange (west) to the Tilted Interchange (east), and along Al Gharrafa Road from Al Rayyan Street (south) to Thani Bin Jasim Street (north).The mainline for Dukhan Highway East consists of eight lanes (four lanes in each direction, separated by a median) with service roads and auxiliary lanes along sections of the road. Three grade separated interchanges will also be constructed along.Al Gharrafa Road will be reconstructed to eight lanes (four lanes in each direction, separated by a median) with service roads. There will be two grade separated interchanges along Al Gharrafa Road, as well as the underpass at the Tilted Interchange. The project will also feature various significant infrastructure works.Main duties:• Interpret, review and approve tender drawings, and extract the necessary engineering information.• Plan, design and prepare shop drawings for site construction.• Develop construction details, specifications and procedures.• Evaluate and recommend the appropriate sequence of works.• Plan, design and prepare the required documents of the necessary diversions.• Ensure compliance of all guidelines and specifications of national and international codes.• Review and evaluate sub-contractor’s submittals, and report recommendations.• Provide technical guidelines and support to CAD Designers/Drafters.• Conduct field visits for technical support and problem solving of construction activities.• Confer with all stakeholder such as client, authorities and other members of the engineering team and conduct meetings to determine project requirements.
