I am currently operating as Director for the Storage And Grid Edge Intelligence group within DNV's Energy Storage Advisory for NA. My team provides technical analyses and diligence from both project development and project financing perspectives. I have extensive experience in performance data analysis and data-driven modelling of physical systems connected to the electric grid. At DNV, I have lead modelling, analysis, and diligence reviews for a variety of distributed energy resources including battery energy storage systems and fuel cell generators. Some focus areas include evaluation of battery system operating characteristics from performance data; data driven modeling of battery degradation; modeling and analysis of storage and solar + storage facility operation; and development of technical specifications and performance criteria for battery energy storage systems. I previously completed Ph.D. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. My previous research focused on the development of a framework for utilizing buildings as thermostatically controllable loads for the electric grid; which included development of methodologies for load modeling from operational data, model-based analysis tools, and model integration into electric grid studies. Past research has led to multiple technical publications and accolades including, the IEEE North American Power Symposium student paper award (1st prize) in 2015 and IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting student poster award (2nd place) in 2014.
