My role involves being part of a collaborative construction team working on-site to an efficient and high quality standard. As 2nd-in-command, I distributed tasks to the builders and would take any occurring problems to the Project Manager but also was involved in problem solving, taking initiative and maintaining team cohesion. Strengths and achievements:- Planning and maintenance of the site- Being able to directly communicate/engage clients and offer them advice that would further benefit them- Working in a team environment, with a sense of trust to do their job well- Hands on work experience in construction of houses throughout all building phases

Working alongside the director, we were commissioned to design a utopian scheme for the citizens of Gaza in Palestine involving extensive contextual research and urban planning, liaising with government officials and engaging in discourse with the people themselves in helping integrate their needs.

Tasked with the redevelopment of the Te Poti Marae, we were commissioned to restore and build new facilities on the site of the ancient sacred grounds, including kitchen and bathroom areas as well as a dedicated dining space. As the lead, I was involved throughout all building phases including handcrafted work, research into structural systems and weatherproofing methods.
