I have three decades of successful experience in management of all media platforms with a progression in responsibility in India’s official electronic media which caters to a multiracial international audience and later in the UNDP. I was in charge of overall management and supervision of SDG based Programmes, in Doordarshan (India's National TV Network) for 15 years. My video production has been prolific with good quality (more than 12000 videos) and resultant increase in viewership is apparent in the TRP figures. During 2021 - 2022 I functioned as the Head of Programme of Doordarshan Kendra Bengaluru (the government’s Kannada TV Channel - DD Chandana) and have successfully managed and supervised the work of dozens of programme professionals who conceptualize, plan, budget, produce and organize programmes. Most of the programmes produced were educational and have been instrumental in training millions of viewers. HR and Budget Management were also major responsibilities. I managed multiple projects involving multiple teams in tens of districts while supervising 100+ employees for decades. In addition, my business development efforts (while in charge of commercial and sponsorship sections) have been very successful and are reflected in the rising earnings of the TV Channel. I have also been in charge of procurement/facilities management for a few years. During the COVID19 situation, I attended to my duties almost every day (I was the only programme person who attended the office daily even during the months of lockdown) and did the planning and lining up for all my colleagues.I have concurrently been the Media/Social Media Officer of the Kendra for eight years and managed the website and the social media handles. Under my leadership, the social media team was very effective. For ex., our YouTube channel (which I created) crossed the one million subscriptions landmark. I always adapt quickly to change and in fact, have evolved quicker, easier, and more economical ways to do almost everything.This work continued in my more than one year tenure in the UNDP as an IC and as an UNV National Expert. I excelled in events management, partnerships and communication roles. Letter of appreciation by the client, Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Karnataka Dr Shalini Rajneesh (the present Chief Secretary) is attached as media along with other certificates.Now, as a Documentation Expert in the Department of Watershed Development in the Government of Karnataka I am leading communications agencies to document development activities in the state.
