I am performing the duty of documentation of work done by the Department of Watershed Development in Karnataka State and also other sustainable activities as requested by various departments/ institutions of the state. Multimedia documentation is done in print, audio-video and social media. It covers the progress of all projects and showcases the success stories to all stake holders.I have produced 40 short documentaries (videos) in addition to other multimedia output in the past nine months. The same were uploaded in social media and were viewed by millions of people leading to an inference that there has been much capacity building and utilization of government services by the public.

I was initially engaged as an Individual Consultant - Partnership and Resource Mobilization in the UNDP's Bengaluru office (SDGCC). The Sustainable Development Goals Co-ordination Center (SDGCC) works with the Government of Karnataka in sustainable development in almost all areas of livelihood. Tasked with building partnerships with industries etc and mobilization of resources under their CSR for projects aimed at sustainable development in Karnataka I undertook outreach and partnership development. Working with programme units I formulated project proposals and coordinated with the technology partners to ensure that the CSR facilitation portal Akanksha is performing as per expectations of the Government of Karnataka. I successfully endeavored towards on-boarding of top 500 corporates and high net worth individuals to the Akanksha portal. As desired by the Additional Chief Secretary (planning and statistics) and the present Chief Secretary of Government of Karnataka, I generated IEC material to exhort the corporates and other prospective donors about areas (state government schemes) where the corporate CSR funds can be channelized. I created both written and video material (nearly 200 videos) and the same are attracting more funding from the concerned. I produced videos about the Akanksha portal also in order to make it user friendly. I continued to guide organizations about the existence and utility of the Akanksha platform and on how to get registered and utilize the same both personally and over phone. Having initiated the process of ensuring CSR funding for projects cumulative worth Rs 15 Crore with CII, FICCI etc, I redoubled my efforts to get the funding to materialize. In addition, in cooperation with the communications team I produced several videos to educate all stakeholders about the SDGs, schemes to address the same, how it is important for the country’s progress to achieve the SDGs and how to reach those goals by contributions from one and all.

During 2021 - 2022 I formally functioned as the Head of Programme (content head) of Doordarshan Kendra Bengaluru (the government’s Kannada TV Channel - DD Chandana) and successfully managed and supervised the work of douzens of producers who conceptualize, plan, research, budget, produce and organize events and programmes. I supervised 200+ colleagues in production of videos on SDGs in collaboration with both central and state governments and managed the TV channel’s operations. HR and Budget Management were major responsibilities. I interacted with UN agencies like UNDP, UNICEF, ICRISAT, Bioversity, and UNESCAP. Dozens of programs that carry the message of government initiatives to achieve the SDGs of the UN were produced and telecast in partnership with the above as well as all other stakeholders.To effectively reach and influence larger audiences while spending minimum amounts, I implemented changes in almost all processes: very high profile administrative reforms like e-office, online project management, digital booking of talent and little changes like utilization of IT in small functions to create a large impact. I always adapted quickly to change and in fact, have been instrumental in evolving quicker, easier, and economical ways to do almost everything. The result was that DD Chandana became the best managed TV channel and had the largest viewership than any other regional DD TV channel.In addition, my marketing communication efforts (while in charge of commercial, sponsorship and media sections and as Prog. Head) was very successful and are reflected in the rising earnings. I also lead the procurement and facilities management units for a few years leading to being made Prog. Head. During the COVID19 situation I attended to my duties on all working days (I was the only program person who attended office daily even during the months of lockdown) and did the crisis planning and lining up for Covid awareness campaign for all my subordinate colleagues.

As a Programme Executive, I lead multiple projects, managed programmes production units that have jurisdiction over an entire state. I supervised around 100 colleagues for more than a decade. I independently conceptualized, planned, budgeted, produced and organized programmes. I produced thousands of radio and TV programmes/ documentaries (short/ long format including news bulletins) where I wrote/ edited the scripts (written by experts/scientists) in addition to being its producer/ director. Ex. I was the project manager/ implementation officer of the ambitious central government project "Mass Media Support to Agricultural Extension". It was one of several projects that I lead. Further, I functioned as the Line Monitoring Officer for IT, Social/ New Media and Website Management. In addition, I worked as the Nodal Officer/ Line Monitoring Officer/ Link Officer for central government flagship programmes like WASH, NREGS, etc.As the Media Officer of my institution I constantly engaged in outreach activities and my social media outreach was commendable. Ex. YouTube subscriptions crossed 1 million from scratch under my leadership. My job involved co-ordination of various sections of my own organization as well as liaison with diverse governmental agencies and local and international NGOs. It includes public relations, event management (managed dozens of large events), arranging seminars, meetings, and interaction with public, press, experts, govt. agencies (developmental, science and research) and international NGOs. Even the state government nominated me to various publicity and media committees in recognition of my work.Attending tens of training courses and also training my own subordinate colleagues has been an integral part of my duties. Some of the latest trainings attended were on capacity building conducted by UNICEF and disaster management by UNESCAP/ ABU. I trained millions of people through my 12000+ educative videos.
