Exercism (exercism.io) is a free Open Source Web application for people to learn how to program. Users can download and solve practice problems in over 30 different languages and they can get feedback for their solutions. The project is hosted on github and open to contributions. Me as a contributor mainly focus on the main website instead of the programming exercises. So far I have solved a few bugs and enhancement like rendering the front end and improve the backend logic using Sinatra and angular. As a contributor, I also help reviewing the solutions submitted by the users regarding to the efficiency and features of the programming language. I started to know about this project because I was benefited from this project. I have had the experience of submitting the solutions for programming in prolog and got a few feedbacks which helped me on improving the efficiency and understanding of functional language. Therefore after I finished the language track, I transitioned from a user to a contributor for this project and start to help other people in a more broader way like improving their user experience when they use the website.
