Exercism (exercism.io) is a free Open Source Web application for people to learn how to program. Users can download and solve practice problems in over 30 different languages and they can get feedback for their solutions. The project is hosted on github and open to contributions. Me as a contributor mainly focus on the main website instead of the programming exercises. So far I have solved a few bugs and enhancement like rendering the front end and improve the backend logic using Sinatra and angular. As a contributor, I also help reviewing the solutions submitted by the users regarding to the efficiency and features of the programming language. I started to know about this project because I was benefited from this project. I have had the experience of submitting the solutions for programming in prolog and got a few feedbacks which helped me on improving the efficiency and understanding of functional language. Therefore after I finished the language track, I transitioned from a user to a contributor for this project and start to help other people in a more broader way like improving their user experience when they use the website.

● On-Site Merchandising: use a web-based content management system to assist in merchandising products for website features and email marketing campaigns. Design webpage templates, Place banners, landing pages, and other selling tools, maintain merchandising calendar, and create promotions, coupon codes, and special offers.● Category Maintenance and Development and Research: develop expertise with web-based software applications and internally-developed systems to create and populate product categories. Facilitate departmental reports for key categories, researching the competitive landscape to make recommendations related to pricing, on-site merchandising and assortment strategies. Develop expertise of products, brands, and overall categories.● Campaign and Promotion Quality Assurance: Work with website programmers/project managers to resolve issues and assist in thoroughly testing new website developments and promotional coupons.

● With Professor Henry Kautz and Professor Jiebo Luo● Mined tags related to keyword "drug dealer", "human trafficking" and "internet crime" from related research● Extracted images from Instagram database through provided by instagram developer API● Matched drug dealer and human trafficking images provided by New York State Attorney General. ● Tag and report the potential drug dealers on Instagram

● With Prof. Jiebo Luo and Grad student Xitong yang, coordinated with Adobe Research Group● Mixed Language programming. Examined and Experimented the possibility and practicality of mixed language programming(c++, object and swift) on iOS platform ● Mobile Application Development. Programmed an iOS application prototype for project “ Replication of Fast Burst Images Denoising " coordinated with Adobe

● Led team from many positions in the company in finding and implementing a new bug­tracking solution.● Investigated current system, created requirements for a new tool, conducted meetings anddemonstrations of possible solutions, created proposal for recommended course of action, configured and administered the new system after decision was made.● Created applications for migrating data between systems/databases using C#, XML and JASON.

● Proctored 2 labs/week for students taking The Science of Programming and The Science of Data Structures -- introductory programming courses covering Java, C and Scheme. ● Graded homework and tests for 16 students, computed and recorded results using answer sheets or electronic marking devices● Prepared lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations Reviewed important topics from lecture with the entire lab, worked one-on-one with students needing help with programming assignments and held weekend project help sessions in the library
