Despite being the fastest growing portion of the electorate in Pennsylvania and nationally, our Asian Pacific Islander communities are often completely ignored by local and national candidates, and underinvested in by political institutions. I lead a team committed to reversing this trend by building long-term political power with and for our communities, so that we can have everything we need to be safe, healthy, and strong. I am so proud to be the Executive Director of the first and only statewide organization directly advocating for the needs of all Asian Americans in Pennsylvania. I am able to do this work because I have built trust with Asian American movement leaders over the last decade by running electoral and organizing programs for various organizations throughout the state, and serving as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs. I am a part of this movement year after year because I know that the choices we make in our political, electoral, and legislative work will help decide our peoples' rights, freedoms, and ability to build and wield political power by and for our communities not just for the next two or four years, but for generations to come.Over the past few years, I have been building the Asian American Community Fund of PA, the first statewide 501c3 organization dedicated to celebrating and empowering Asian American communities across the Commonwealth. Formed by leaders across our diverse communities who have spent decades uplifting their communities, the AACFPA supports local Asian American associations and organizations to bring our people together, celebrate our cultures and traditions, and promote civic engagement to ensure that Pennsylvania is a safe and welcoming home for our communities.The work happening in Pennsylvania is exciting. The strategic vision I bring to our movements helps the work of building empowered Asian American communities, where we have access to the things we need to thrive, and are able to celebrate who we are - creates a better and brighter future not just for Asian Americans, but for all Pennsylvanians.
